I reported on quietrevolution when I attended NextFEST last fall. They have been very busy and are pleased to report that “Version 1.2 of the turbine, without the central spar, is now in manufacture with 20 installations planned across the UK in the next six months.”
But all work and no play makes quietrevolution a dull, eh, company. So, Party Harty while they won the 2006 Product Innovation Award at the Sustainability Awards which was sponsored by Building Magazine. (See picture to right)

Nose to the grindstone, there was a trip to Canada where the qr5 went through some rigorous testing in the National Research Centre 9m x 9m wind tunnel. The data so far indicates that the qr5 is on target to meet or exceed the design power curve as used in quietrevolution‘s predictions of output on sites.
