Exclusive phablet gets upgraded with 4G LTE, more battery power and wide-angle camera lens
Las Vegas, January 5, 2015, Kicking-off 2015 at the Consumer Electronics Show, Cricket Wireless and ZTE USA will debut the next-generation ZTE Grand X Max+, a 4G LTE (CAT4) Android smartphone available at Cricket for $199.99. The hottest no annual contract smartphone just got hotter, by doubling-down on the camera resolution, memory, battery life and processing power. Beginning January 9, the ZTE Grand X Max+ will be available exclusively at Cricket Wireless in stores and online, it’s never been a better time to switch to Cricket Wireless.
“We’re starting off the year with a massive 6” HD smartphone that delivers value without compromise to our customers,” said Jennifer Van Buskirk, president of Cricket Wireless. “In addition to no-annual contract plans starting at $35 per month after $5 credit for using Auto Pay including taxes and fees, Cricket Wireless will continue to roll out a growing number of 4G LTE smartphones in 2015 because we know that’s what our customers want.”
“The ZTE Grand X Max+ is the latest example of how we listen to our consumers and apply our expertise to bring them premium experiences at affordable prices,” said Lixin Cheng, chairman and CEO of ZTE USA. “This device is a great start to 2015 for both ZTE and Cricket, two of the leading brands in prepaid.”
According to a recent consumer insights ZTE-sponsored survey, 83 percent of respondents said they are interested in having a bigger phone but only 22 percent were willing to pay a higher price for it. The top reason for wanting a bigger screen size is better web browsing experiences, more immersive gaming and entertainment and getting more information at a glance.
Additionally, the ZTE Grand X Max+ is the third 4G LTE device from ZTE at Cricket and the next in a line of affordable phones that are packed with high-end components. The Grand X Max+ comes out of the box with a powerful set of features such as 13 MP rear-facing camera with 4x zoom and LED flash, 5 MP wide-angle front-facing camera for video chats, selfies, Hangouts™ and HD video. The camera is designed with the average picture taker in mind and also has more advanced settings that enable professionals to customize their image before and after snapping the picture. Cricket and ZTE’s commitment to bringing such devices to market is evidenced by the powerful set of features available on the Grand X Max+. Further highlights are:

· Dolby Audio provides premium sound for music, movies and gaming
· 3200 mAh battery with Qualcomm® Quick Charge™ 1.0—charge faster to keep you on the go
