The new high-tech bags from Viennese design label URBAN TOOL have arrived. Urban design meets state-of-the-art technology.
From now on, music comes from a bag: Safely and stylishly stored, iPods and iPhones can be directly controlled through an interface integrated into the outside of the bags. The control interface offers the most commonly used functions, like play/pause, song selection, and volume adjustment. “urban performer unit” is a sophisticated item. This exclusive leather bag in geometrical design is adorned with sparkling Black-in-Black Swarovski crystals. “i-hipHolster” and “i-caseBelt” are two URBAN TOOL classics, kitted out with added functionality.
The perfect combination of textiles and technical function – this is the vision as well as the specialty of designers Anna Herwig and Sabrina Tanner. “Mobile phones, iPods and other devices are constant companions in our everyday lives. With our user-oriented approach to IT and design, we are trying to create solutions for in order to better integrate them. All our products are characterized by a well thought-out and well sorted interior for all gadgets. With our new wearables, we are taking it a step further: We integrated the controls for iPods and iPhones directly into the bag,” the two designers explain.

The urban performer unit combines a purist looking design with functionality at the highest level. On the outside of the geometrical leather bag, decorated with fine Swarovski crystals, is the control interface for the iPhone or iPod inside the bag. Its well thought-out interior is divided into individual magazine-like, flexible pockets for iPhone, iPod and co.

The two bestsellers from the URBAN TOOL collection – “hipHolster” and caseBelt” – were outfitted with the control interface directly on the carrying strap. Besides iPod or iPhone, further gadgets like camera, wallet and keys also find a well-sorted place in additional pockets inside these stylish and functional bags.
