Google has really hit the big-time with Android OS. It can be measured by the fact that Kaspersky is reporting the first trojan for Android. This is, obviously, a warning to all users of Android phones to be weary of the fake media player application, named “SMS.AndroidOS.FakePlayer.a” Kaspersky recommends “users pay close attention to the services that an application requests access to when it is being installed.”
Trojan-SMS (the classification of the type of virus) is the most common form of Mobil-Malware. This type of software leads the user into sending an SMS message to a service, which is has a charge associated with it. This kind of malware is some of the most terrible, as it directly costs the user his, or her, hard earned cash.
