iOtties is all about designing for the car accessories industry. And they have a great array of car Mounts. I’ve been testing out their Easy One Touch Mini Vent Mount. It’s well made and sturdy. And easy to assemble.

What you need to assemble the Mount, which comes separated in the box – from the top:
the back of the Mount
Adjustment knob
Vent Clamp
You have to fit the Ball of the Vent Clamp inside the socket of the Mount…but position the Adjustment knob between. When the ball is in the socket then you can screw the Adjustment knob to the angle you like. Meaning, you decide if you like your phone horizontal, vertical and at a slightly different angle than 90°

The series of Easy One Touch Mounts let you slip you phone between the arms easily by just using the side of the phone to push one arm. The opens the other arm and the phone is clamped between.
To Remove your phone from the Mount – press the Release Bars (Below the Arms that hold your phone) between your fingers

The Mount comes with complete instructions and extra Silicone Pads for use on the Locking Side Arms (that hold the phone). That’s in case your phone is smaller than the Arms will hold safely.

Squeeze the Lock Button (on my thumb) to open the Vent Clamp, then attach to one of the Vents in your car.
You’ll need some strength to open this clamp because it’s really tight. But that’s how you know it won’t slide out of the vent.

Here’s a view from underneath the Mount.
Notice the Lock Button is flush against surface, keeping the Mount at a 90° angle.

Mount comes with “Cable Management System” which is basically two “Grabby” things on the back of the Mount to hold a USB cable. They are tight and getting my cable in was a bit of a struggle.

This is a nicely designed Mount. The main “disadvantage” of this model is that I can’t video a scene outside the car. I also have to turn off the (hot or cold) air coming out from whatever vent I have this attached to. Not that this is a BIG issue. It’s just something one has to be aware of. iOttie has other models to choose from if this is a problem for you, so don’t have a cow. In fact, looking over the iOttie site, you have an amazing variety of models to choose from. However, if I am using my phone’s GPS/map feature (for example), the Easy One Touch is nicely placed for perfect viewing.
