Get touchy-feely with the Samsung SGH-F700

Now that the iPhone has won over the gadget world with a nice big touch-screen, Samsung has been working on their own version and has announced the SGH-F700. The touch-screen smartphone with 3-megapixel camera and QWERTY keyboard will be released in Europe in November with Vodafone as the carrier. In February the specs for this phone were to include a 5 Megapixel camera, which is remarkable – not to mention highly desirable, but as of right now this seems to have been changed to 3 Megapixels. Not that I wouldn’t still LOVE that! Especially with Auto-Focus. I mean, WOW! Anyway, the SGH-F700 has combined the convenience of a touch-screen with a slide out QWERTY Keypad – having the best of both worlds.

It looks to have a fairly impressive list of features:

  • Samsung F700 Specifications
  • HSDPA 3.6 Mbps, EDGE
  • 900/1800/1900 MHz + 2.1GHz
  • 3 Megapixel camera with Auto-Focus
  • Display: 265,536 TFT (3.2″, 240×432)
  • Full Touch Screen
  • MPEG4/H.263/H.264/ MP3/AAC(+)/eAAC+
  • QWERTY Keypad
  • MMS / E-mail / JAVA / WAP 2.0
  • Bluetooth(r) 2.0 / USB
  • Flash UI / Document Viewer
  • Full HTML Browsing
  • Offline Mode, BGM
  • Memory
  • microSD
  • 112 x 56 x 16.mm
  • Standard battery, Li-Ion
  • I’ve checked to lastest on Opera Mini 4 Beta 2 and there seems to be issues with this phone, but at least (and as usual), they are working on them.
