I’ve previously reviewed USB drives that offer a way to secure your data. Those used passwords or fingerprints only available to the user. For most individuals this is more than adequate. But corporations want to control and secure their sensative data. mSystem has developed an “mTrust Manager”. This software lets a company remotely shut down the flash drive and even remove or erase data before it’s compromised by an unauthorized person. Using an “mTrust Ready” USB drives, just add the software. That will allow ‘Remote password administration’ and ‘Remote termination of lost drives’. Which makes it sound like some sort of Mission Impossible device. Cue the music (from the TV show. I like that better).
