Extending Cricket Protect

For a limited time only, Cricket is offering existing customers a unique opportunity to sign up for insurance for their previously purchased Cricket devices.  Cricket Protect gives customers with qualifying devices an affordable replacement if their phone is lost, stolen, damaged or if it malfunctions after the manufacturer’s warranty expires.

Normally only available within seven days of device purchase, Cricket is creating a special “open enrollment period” in store fromSeptember 11 – October 30, 2015 to give customers a second chance at protecting their device investment.  Cricket Protect costs $7-10 per month, depending on your phone model, and is conveniently billed to your account each month as an add-on feature.

Customers can sign up for open enrollment by visiting their local Cricket store.

“When it comes to giving people more than they expect from a no annual contract carrier, Cricket is delivering big time,” said Janna Ducich, vice president and chief marketing officer, Cricket Wireless.  “That’s why we work closely with manufacturers like HTC to bring customers what they want: high quality phones at affordable prices on a network with more 4G LTE coverage nationwide than T-Mobile, Metro PCS, Sprint or Boost.  Add in our easy-to-use and affordable service plans with expanded international offering and the prices that include taxes and fees, and it’s clear, it is time to switch to Cricket.”
