Sprint has some great Galaxy S8 and S8+ deals

There are a variety of pre-orders deals for Samsung’s new Galaxy S8 and S8+ at Sprint.

The Basics

Customers pre-ordering should see their phones delivered no later than the April 21st release date.  The base price of the Galaxy S8 is $750, while the S8+ has a base price of $850.   The base models of Samsung’s latest phone all come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage.  All phones take advantage of Sprint’s HPUE-enabled high speed data network   In addition to full payment, there are lease plans and payment plans available.

Galaxy Forever

Sprint’s Galaxy Forever is a lease arrangement that allows buyers to upgrade to the next Samsung Galaxy phone after 12 months of payments.   The lease period runs 18 months, at the end of which customers can either upgrade to any smartphone, buy out the lease, or continue paying month-to-month.

For those who always want to be on the latest greatest device, Galaxy Forever is a solid offering.

Payment Plans

Sprint offers a number of payment plans for the S8 and S8+.  Down payments and monthly payments vary with credit, but payments are split over an 18 month period.

Pre-orders made online or over the phone will receive free activation, a $30 value.

Free Gifts, Discounts, and More

Pre-orders will receive a Gear VR and the new Gear Motion Controller, free of charge.  We’ve tried this new Gear VR and motion controller.  The Gear VR headset is similar to prior offerings from Samsung, but the motion controller is a great new addition.  The motion controller is a wireless Bluetooth unit that allows far easier navigation within virtual worlds.

This package would have a retail price of  $179 if purchased separately.  If you’re into VR, or simply want to try VR, this is a great offering.  There’s no reason not to take advantage as it is completely free with purchase.

Sprint is also offering a heavily discounted package that includes Bluetooth wireless Y50BT AKG over-the-ear headphones and a 256GB micro-SD card.  This package is being sold for an additional $99 but is an outstanding value for money.

The 256GB micro-SD card alone has a street price of over $150.  The AKG bluetooth headphones typically sell for around $120.  For those interested in either of these products, Sprint and Samsung are providing an outstanding discount.

All pre-orders also also elegible to win a 65” curved QLED TV, and customers can enter daily for a chance to win S8 accessory packs, valued at $230.
