Home button removal
The removal of the home button has led to a new, entirely gesture-based, interface. Swipes and gestures will replace what was once a simple tap of a button. This will probably take all of 10 minutes to get used to, but it’s a significant change nonetheless that will be unfamiliar to long-time iPhone users. MOst are completely unintuitive. They should have come up with a software-based home button using force touch similar to Samsungs S8, S8+ and Note 8 phones – which would have been a great feature.
Loss of TouchID
FaceID can be the best but it’s still never going to be as convenient as TouchID is. With TouchID you can more quickly unlock your iPhone to make payments, unlock while your phone is still in your pocket, or unlock quickly for a friend. FaceID pretty much means you have to shove the phone in your face.
Price
We’re going to give a big black mark on Apple in regards to the price here. The iPhone X is horribly expensive. With fewer features than it’s competitors, Apple is looking to make bank on its brand here. The new features don’t justify the price.
Paying extra for Fast Charging
If you want to fast charge your new iPhone X, you’ll have to spend extra cash to buy the necessary chargers and cables. As if you didn’t pay enough already!
You will have to buy an additional cable and Charger that will run you $65 or $85 bucks to get Fast Charging – this is very discouraging having spent so much to acquire the phone. this is something that is included with competing phones.
Conclusion
For now, we can say Apple clearly has a hit on its hands. The OLED screen is gorgeous, the phone feels great in the hand, and the added power thanks to the A11 Bionic processor means it’s responsive and powerful as heck. Absolutely – Apple’s smartphone of the future may be your future smartphone. We strongly suspect this phone heralds the future of Apple’s future phone designs – and there’s zero doubt this is the best Apple has to offer this year!
